today i went to portland, ME with natalie. it was a gloomy, rainy day, but we had yummy miso soup and seaweed salad and sushi and walked around a bit. i got a little anxiety-attack-ish as we were cruising down exchange street. i saw feet and cigarette smoke on a stoop and held my breath and walked faster. i looked back and it was a girl. and i felt foolish. so the rest of the time i didn't think about it. my baby, jeremy, called me from krazyfest in kentucky last night, and i sat on the front step and swooned. he said he'd try to phone tonight. yesterday! oh. it was natalie's birthday. she and bethany went to boston and i worked. so they came over afterwards, and we watched 'jesus's son' again. mm. such a good movie. tomorrow, the search for a vintage schwinn continues. natalie is getting up early and checking the classifieds for schwinn bikes and yard sales in the area, and if that's a no-go, i'm going to a bike shop in manchester (maybe with james too, since he was a bike messenger) to purchase a new schwinn, classic model. i just want to use my graduation money on a bike. instead of a video camera. cause i can use my friends' cameras. but i can't use my friends' bikes. i wish i had x-ray vision to look into peoples' garages cause i know those old folks have schwinns they don't even use anymore. if they gave it to me, i would. |
