what a surprise! james came up from boston and visited me last night. i tried to show him the good parts of durham and dover, including the good people that inhabit it, and it was quite successful. he stayed over on a sleeping bag on the floor, by his choice despite the two couches available. he said he'd come visit again and i said i'd like that and i would. i have a big test for astronomy today but all i am doing is procrastinating. i really should study because i need to, and i haven't really yet, but all the information is daunting. all i know is eastward and declination, and that won't answer all 50 questions, i'm sure. we'll see if i can profit from 'multiple choice.' today when i get back from classes, i need to do a load of laundry. the only reason i'm putting it off is because i don't have three dollars in quarters. three dollars you say?! well. it really only needs one dollar for the washing machine and one dollar for the dryer, but the dryer doesn't like a lot of clothes and that's how it accumulates in my hamper, so i have to run it through once again. the idiosyncracies of a place i've only been at for a month. the search for the schwinn is getting close to ending, i believe, despite the numerous emails i have been receiving about available bikes hidden in garage corners. my mom found me a lavender fuji with chrome fenders, and i think i am going to take her word on it's beauty and go with that one. by the time i get one it'll be winter. figures. this weekend should be fun. photobooths and apple-picking and sushi. by the way: if you are reading this and i haven't invited you apple-picking for this sunday AND you live in the area (which would be...new hampshire, maine, or massachusetts) and think that you'd like to come, drop me a line. (iamabrokentoy@hotmail.com) be good. xo.
